While looking like anything but punks, UK-based four-piece Airship dove headfirst onto the punk bandwagon in 1979 with their sole 45, filled with two near-classic "hit" tunes many era groups would be hard-pressed to pen in their whole career. A true double A-Side delight, "Get Out, Take Your Mother with You" lights up the top side with it's catchy pub-infused glam-punk, while the nonpareil punk pastiche "Gimme A Can of Spray Paint" stands strong on the flip. Viewed by some in the past as nothing more than a quick cash-in attempt, we here at Meanbean headquarters only care about the hits--punk ethics be damned--and ask that you arm the doors in preparation for the boys in Airship's next flight. Meanbean Records will present this rare chunk of sub-punk perfection for the first time in a custom picture sleeve, utilizing band materials from 1979. 300 copies ONLY on Black vinyl - includes reproduction of 1979 promo shoot and postcard.
