The Sha La La’s have always worn their hearts proudly on their sleeves and this latest release, their fifth single on Detour Records, is no exception. With all the spirit and attitude we’ve come to expect from The Sha La La’s, A side ‘You Got Me (Wantin’)’ is an uptempo, four to the floor soul stomper. The opening Hammond Organ groove leads into a rousing brass refrain that drives along at such blistering pace you can’t see it stoping! B side ‘Put It Right” is lighter in feel and tempo than it’s A side cousin but still shares that same spirit, that same attitude, that same Soulful vocal and that glorious swirling Hammond Organ…… With ‘Soul Of The Nation’ and ‘Your Blind Soul’ 45s and the ‘Feelin’ Real’ LP now sold out don’t want to hang about too long on this one…..
