Description

First in Alto Records, a subsidiary of Rufus recordings, has had the excellent idea of editing on vinyl, with the generic title of " Obedece a los Flamin Guays ", a single with a couple of songs that the aforementioned trio from Alicante presented us a few months ago in format of model with the title of "Volume 3". The single in 7 "contains the songs" Cruce de caminos "on his face A and" I can not take it any more "on the B. An exceptional album on which they have devoted all their experience, their skill, and above all their passion for the penetrating blues and the demolishing R & B. Through a dark, primitive and visceral touch, his songs bring to the legendary essence of black music a current point of view, as surprising as it is enriching, through a crossing of abrasive guitar riffs with those irresistible laments of the harmonica, at the firm pace of the wonderful drummer accompanying an impressive main voice.

On the A side we can hear "Cruce de caminos", a spectacular theme with which the goosebumps of Mississippi are already the result of an impeccable treatment of the dark blues canons. The band adds a personal touch thanks to that guitar with teeth of chainsaw that cuts cement blocks to the step of a crazy battery plus a harmonica that moans drunk with passion. The excellent lead voice tells us a story about a young man who is looking for a pact with the Devil, although if he has to choose, he "stays as he is" with more money and more love. To highlight those bass details after a huge harmonica solo. On the B side, they offer us "I can not stand you". Another huge issue in which the tempo slows down so that, from the very inferno, a history of heartbreak arises. "Fed up with you, even mice do not want to stay here ... I do not want to see you anymore, I can not stand you anymore ..." In the background, a guitar strikes chords against the anvil to forge that brutal melody while the harmonica remains the main and omnipotent protagonist.
