A NEW MUST HAVE RELEASE THAT GATHERS UP ALL THE RECORDED OUTPUT FROM THIS TOP AUSSIE PUNK BAND. THIS COMPILATION HAS BEEN RELEASED ON THE 'PAPAGÁJŮV HLASATEL RECORDS' The Last Words are rightly considered one of the first Australian punk bands. In addition, they are one of the first genre bands from this continent to establish themselves abroad. Paradoxically, both founding members of The Last Words - Malcolm Baxter and Andy Groome - have their roots in the old continent. They and their parents moved to Australia from Britain when they were both children. They confirmed their friendship in 1977 by founding the band The Last Words. After the first non-artistic attempts, the band played, and in the year of its founding they released their debut single. The DIY record Animal World / Wondering Why soon sold out, and the Australian major label Wizzard Records showed interest in the band. The newly recorded song Animal World (with a different song on the "B") became the most famous song in the short history of The Last Words. The band subsequently relocated to England and released their biggest hit again on the Rough Trade label (with a fungl new song on the B side), this time aimed at the British market. After several more singles, The Last Words recorded their only major record in 1980. However, this was the last recording for the band. Malcolm returned to Australia. Andy worked with the band Eric Hysteric for some time, and then moved back to the opposite side. The very first complete discography of The Last Words is just being released on PHR Records. Animal World album contains songs from all singles and debut albums. All recordings are newly remastered and the album also includes an insert with the band's history and all the lyrics. FEATURES 01.
