Turner began as a solo project by Louise Turner lead singer/songwriter. After touring the UK with the successful group DC Fontana & singing with many Different bands Louise decided to concentrate on her own songwriting and project. Work began with Yves Altana on her first EP ‘This is Turner’ released through Detour Records & being nominated for a Galaxy entertainment award for best new album. Early 2017 louise decided she needed a full band to take the project to another level & also perform more live gigs. Enlisting Albert Widowson, Ben Walker & Dan Kirkham work began on the new songs/album. Since then the band have played in different parts of the UK as they build awareness & momentum. ‘Don’t you ever stop’ is the first release as a band & showcases the new sounds & direction....a little bit of pysch, soul, rock, indie & a lot of heart. The band plan to unleash their first album in 2019 which features an eclectic mix of sounds & influences but still in keeping with their own unique sound.
