Detour Records are pleased to announce the release of The Sha La La’s new LP ‘Soul Of The Nation’.

Available on all formats including limited edition VINYL (Which is limited to 400 copies only), CD and DOWNLOAD CARD ALL in the same package....

It's the one we've all been waiting for, The Sha La La's singles album - ‘Soul Of The Nation’. All The Sha La La's Detour Records singles, A and B sides on one 10 track LP.

May 2019 sees the third 7” vinyl release in a year by The Sha La La’s and their fifth on Detour Records.

Earlier 45s, the debut Soul Of The Nation and Your Blind Soul have long since sold out on 7” but all five singles appear on this limited edition 12” vinyl which comes with CD and a download code for MP3s.

The familiar opening Bass and piano refrain of title track 'Soul Of The Nation' leads the way perfectly, setting us up nicely for the classic soul 45 appeal of 'Before I Let You Down Again'. Never letting that early benchmark slip the Sha La La's keep us out on the floor. (Keep On) Takin' Us Higher’, 'When Love Comes’, the “in yer face” driving soul of ‘Your Blind Soul’ all feature on this LP, as does the uptempo, four to the floor soul stomper and latest single ‘You Got Me (Wantin’)’, the inspirational ‘Hold On’, ‘Bring It Down On You’ and the B side to the latest 45 ‘Put It Right’. The finale is the instrumental version of ‘Soul Of The Nation’, carrying you high above its head, brass section to the fore, Hammond organ swirling and that infectious rhythm that just keeps on takin’ us higher……

Movin’ to the Soul Of The Nation, it’s our salvation, it’s all we need to feel alive!

Quality delivery as ever from Detour. This sits nicely in with New Street Adventure and Stone Foundation for mod-inspired Brit-soul. Taking hte past but looking to the future. All the Detour released A and B sides in one place - buy it!

Brilliant, just wait for the modern soul DJ's to get a copy, if you don't buy this we... every track could be played, well to the band for making a super bit of Northern Soul magic.
